The Recording Academy has no clue!
They hardly know what’s going on in Africa. That’s why when Tyla came up for her award, Grammy Awards played the song done by Nigeria’s music icon, Fela Anikulapo decades ago.
Grammy Awards has always been known to be full of sh*t, giving glory to people who really didn’t deserve it.
I tried to fathom what was in Tyla’s mind about the song played as she moved to the stage to collect her award. What I’m sure of she didn’t care because at that moment, she was overwhelmed with the joy of the win.
Grammy or The Recording Academy should learn more about music because they still know nothing about Africa.
